damn man i always wondered what the process is for making these pixel art animations. How do you plan everything out and follow through?

My process for making pixel art varies a bit: if the animation is simple enough, I tend to do it directly in pixel art, but for more complex animations like SFX, dying animations or intricate animations I prefer doing a first sketch pass in digital and then redraw it in pixel art

a lotta technical errors here and there, like the background shifting or popping. Keep in mind, when people raise their shoulders, their arms go up too, and when they d heavy breathing their body moves a bit too.
Artistically it's very nice! The characters have a lot of fun shapes and line work to them

Yeah, I was prtty much learning as I went about making the film. I did consider just going back and reanimating some bits, but this film took up so much of my life these past couple of months I didn't have the energy to do so. I'm just happy I was able to get it finished lol.

That's fair. This was a produced short, and I was only allowed so much time, and I wanted a narrative. This was more of a Chucky short and the Toy Story elements were kinda forced by the producers' "Every video needs to be two things put together" philosophy.
